WW2 German Police Officer SS Sword – WKC SS Pommel . SG3005cxmm

WW2 German Police Officer Sword (Degen). Damaged grip. Sword is variation with SS runes on the top pommel. Sword is SS proof marked on the scabbard throat as well. Maker marked on one side of the blade ricasso with the knight’s head logo for WKC Solingen and has the SS runes mark on the other side of the blade ricasso. The sword blade measures approximately 33 inches. This is a straight sword, a single-sided blade. The blade is in decent condition with some wear and graying. The eagle on the handle has a bit of damage around eagle insert, also, the grip is damaged at the top portion under the pommel and has portions of wire missing. Also, metal back strap portion missing which is causing the grip to have a lot of wiggle to it. The paint on the scabbard has a bit of wear and scuffs. Original white leather buffer pad piece is still in place. The sword fits nicely into the scabbard. Overall, an unusual SS pommel marked and proof marked police officer sword with damaged grip that could use repair or restoration.
