Additional Notes: The Turkish modification of 1917 German bayonets was primarily to adapt them to the Turkish military needs and to streamline production. The Turkish government sought to modernize their military equipment and reduce the number of bayonets in circulation. The modifications included shortening the blades to a standard length, which was easier to handle and more efficient for use in Turkish rifles. Additionally, the modifications were made to ensure compatibility with Turkish-made rifles and to reduce the overall weight and bulk of the bayonets. These changes were part of a broader effort to modernize the Turkish military and improve the effectiveness of their weapons.
