The Matchbox No.66 Ford Transit, produced by Lesney between 1977 and 1981 as part of the Superfast series, features a bright orange pickup design with a brown plastic cargo load and is a popular collectible for its classic styling and durable build. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: Lesney Products was a British manufacturing company founded in 1947 by Leslie Smith and Rodney Smith. It became world-famous for creating the Matchbox line of die-cast miniature vehicles, first launched in 1953. The company’s success peaked in the 1960s and ’70s before financial troubles led to its closure in 1982. Despite that, Lesney’s legacy lives on through Matchbox, now owned by Mattel.
