SOLD WW2 German Fireman Dress Axe . D964

WW2 German Fireman service dress axe. This is a very basic version with nice condition polished nickel head and plain black wood handle. Size approximately 15 1/2 inches x 7 1/4  inches. Good overall condition with some wear.

Additional Notes: These fireman service dress axes were used for ceremonial and formal occasions by firemen in the Third Reich. They typically featured polished nickel heads and black or brown wooden handles, with some more elaborate versions having fancier designed handles, heads, or pommels and/or etched fittings or dedications.
