US WW2 Good Conduct Full Wrap Brooch # 3146 . YMU6054

United States WW2 Army Good Conduct Medal. Early ww2 Medallic Arts Co version with the Full Wrap Broach pin attachment setup. Also, with a relatively low serial number on rim “3146”.  Worn condition.

Additional Notes: The criteria for a Good Conduct Medal are defined by Executive Orders 8809, 9323, and 10444. The Good Conduct Medal, each one specific to one of the six branches of the US Armed Forces, is currently awarded to any active-duty enlisted member of the US military who completes three consecutive years of “honorable and faithful service”.

One of the original manufacturers of the US Army Good Conduct Medal was the Medallic Arts Co, N Y. The first stampings were numbered from 1 – 38000 on the lower edge of the medal and had a full wrap brooch pin attachment system.
