United States Marine Corps (USMC) 2nd Class Medic Sleeve Rank Insignia. Insignia with Forestry green chevrons with white embroidered eagle on tan (Khaki). For hospital corpsmen and other naval personnel wearing USMC khaki uniforms. Authorized by the Marine Corps but not regulated by the Navy. Officially replaced by dark blue-on-khaki rating badges in November of 1943. 1940s era. Size approximately 4 3/4 inches x 4 inches. The patch does not react to UV light (does not glow under blacklight). Worn condition.
