SOLD US WW2 90th Division Patch . USP1248

United States 90th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia (patch). The patch is fully embroidered with a snowy back. Worn condition. Most likely 1940s (WW2) era. The patch does not react to UV light (does not glow under blacklight).

 

Additional Notes: The 90th Infantry Division (“Tough ‘Ombres”) was a unit of the US Army that served in WW1 and WW2. Its lineage is carried on by the 90th Sustainment Brigade. In WW2, the first elements of the division saw action on D-Day, 6 June, on Utah Beach, Normandy, the remainder entering combat 10 June, cutting across the Merderet River to take Pont l’Abbe in heavy fighting.
