German Deluxe Miner’s Sword – Weimer era . SG188

$1,400.00

German Deluxe Miner’s Sword. Most likely Weimer era (1919-1933). Scabbard missing upper throat brass screw, also, a wear to black paint with good portions of paint missing on metal scabbard. Double ring scabbard. The brass uppers section of the scabbard has a nice miner’s type design. Grip appears to be a shark skin wrapped wood core grip with triple wire wrap. Brass hilt with nice miner logo type design. Blade has graying and is in average condition, blade etching is very light and hard to clearly make out through the graying. The motto on the one side of the blade is “Gluck Auf” (meaning: Good Luck), there is also Miner’s hammers on the sides of motto. Blade length approximately 32 1/2 inches, about 37 3/4 inches overall, and about 39 inches in scabbard. A very hard sword to find.
