WW2 German Ordnance Sword – Eickhorn C.E.38 – Matching #s . SG186

$450.00

WW2 German Ordnance Sword. Matching numbers (2675) on sword and scabbard. Marker marked on the blade with the logo for Eickhorn Solingen. This is a “Dove Head” style sword hilt. The sword hilt appears to be of brass construction and has two waffenamt (WaA) inspector marks on back strap area of hilt. Below the ferrule of the hilt is a leather finger loop which has a lot of wear and is damaged/ripped. Numbered 2675 and Waffenamt (WaA) on one side and C.E./38 with another Waffenamt on the other side under sword cross guard. Leather buffer pad still in place. Sword black celluliod grip over wood core in good condition with nice condition twisted wire wrap. The blade has a bit of wear, spotting, and lifting to the plating. Blade approximately 34 inches in length. Blade fits very tightly into scabbard. Blade also has waffenamt mark on back edge of blade. Scabbard has a blued type finish (which is what you typically see on ordnance type swords) and has the number 2675 near throat area on one side and C.E./38 with waffenamt (WaA) mark below on other side, there is a bit of wear to the bluing finish on scabbard. Also, waffenamt marked on lower drag area of scabbard. Overall a decent condition sword, these type ordnance swords are always very well marked in several areas as is this one.
