WW2 Japanese Good Luck Flag . NNJ244b

WW2 Japanese military good luck flag (hinomaru yosegaki) which was a traditional gift for Japanese soldiers deployed during military engagements, most notably during WW2. The flag is the national flag which was typically signed by friends and family with short messages and wishing the soldier victory and good luck. Flag is multi-piece construction and very worn and used condition with ties in two corners. Also, unusual is this seems to have embroidery work in the white portion, I have not seen that before. This flag came in from local picker veteran’s group from Pacific theatre with several other Japanese flags, pictures, and souvenirs. Size approximately 23 inches X 25 inches.
