U.S. Navy Officer Tan Tropical Garrison Cap. Captain pin on rank insignia on side of cap. Q.M. Depot contract tag on inside is size marked 7 and marked Caps, Garrison, Khaki Bancroft-Rellim Co. contract dated 45 and Spec dated 42. Also, ink stamped “7” for size as well. Mid 1940s-1950 (Late WW2 – Korea) era. Worn and used condition.

Additional Notes: During WW2 Navy garrison caps were produced in all of the standard uniform colors including dark blue, khaki (tropical tan), forest green, gray, and white. There were also many variations in fabrics. For example, garrison caps for the working khaki and gray uniforms were made in both cotton and wool.
