Hold(T)WW2 German SS Combat Helmet . HG4085c

WW2 German SS Combat Helmet. Very heavy wear to the exterior paint with a lot of heavy wear to exterior, appears to have remnants of snow camo as well. This was a trunk find and also had a paper inside the helmet that is rough condition, however, does have feldpost information. The SS decal is also in very heavily worn condition, however, a portion of SS decal still present. Interior liner and chin strap in very rough and heavily damaged condition, no drawstring, liner torn away from most edges, so it really wants to fall out of helmet, barely held into helmet in a couple small areas (very delicate). Size and marker marked on interior side rim very hard to make out. Production/Lot number on back rim appears to most likely be IN288. A very heavily worn and rough condition SS combat helmet.

Note: The envelope that was tucked under the liner is hard to make out clearly, however, appears to be Feldpost # 47819. Helmet picked up from out of trunk in PA area. From information from another collector, it was part of Werfer Battalion 103/503? which was part of IV SS Panzer Korp which fought with Wiking & Totenkopf among other units in Poland, Hungary, and Austria 44-45, guys surname was Muller. Some, helmet has some basic identification.
