WW2 German Battle Damaged Combat Helmet . HG1445

WW2 German M42 Combat Battle Damaged Helmet. Rough condition chin strap. Documented with possibility from SS Hohenstauffen (9th SS Division). Never had a decal, originally owned by Hugh Macenlly a British 1st Airborne vet who was severly wounded at Arnhem battle. Helmet is fully intact but hit through with shrapnel strikes. Several supporting documents included. Basically, Hugh Macenlly became a guide to battle in postwar and people in town gave him the helmet (provenance that it came from a house occupied by SS in Arnhem during battle). A interesting helmet with a lot of character.
