WW2 German M35 DD Army Textured Camo Combat Helmet . HG1024

WW2 German M35 Double Decal Army Textured Camoflauge Combat Helmet. I believe the camo is an application of a dark field gray paint that was thickened with Zimmerit to give a nice dark non-reflective type camo surface. Army decal is very worn and hard to mark out (probably from someone picking off the camo paint to try to reveal the army decal, however, much of the decal probably came off with the camo paint). Also, on the top dome of the helmet it appears the veteran neatly inscribed the letter V (for victory) and also the letter’s Morse code . . . _
(The dot-dot-dot-dash and letter V were one of the war’s most powerful propaganda symbols), a cool feature pointed out by a fellow collector. The helmet liner in very rough condition with broken and very damaged chinstrap. I cannot make out the production/lot number or maker and size codes. Overall a very worn and been there type textured camo Army combat helmet.
