SOLD WW2 German IAB in Bronze Grade – JFS . GO5053

WW2 German Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze. Massive zinc-based badge. Much of the Bronze finish worn away from the front of the badge. Marker marked under the hinge area with the JFS logo for the maker of Josef Feix und Sohne (listed as type 3.01 in the excellent IAB book by Sascha Weber). Worn condition.

Additional Notes: The Bronze grade badge was for motorized units of the Infantry and mountain regiments. It also included members of anti-infantry gun, machine gun, and anti-tank companies.
