WW2 German Genealogical record book (Blood Line Record Book) done to prove decent, called an “Ahnenpass”. This book is to Ewald Gleitz. The book had a large official photo of him in his HJ uniform, which has come loose over the years, however, still included with book. After his service with the RAD in 1938, he joined the Panzer.Aufklabt.4 of the I.Pz.Div., renamed Kradsch.Btl.1 (Pp.nr.17586). He was killed-in-action 28-11-42 in Russia. He took a bullet hit to the head while leading his platoon during an attack against Russian positions. He won the Iron Cross, the Tank Battle Badge, and the Russian Campaign Medal.
