US Army WW2 M1 Garand Cartridge Belt – Boyt 43 . FLU3234

U.S. Army WW2 M1 Garand Cartridge Belt. Marker marked and dated Boyt -43- on back. Belt has the charger retaining straps in each pocket. Heavily worn and used condition with damage, stains, tears, and rips on several pockets. A classic piece of U.S. soldier gear.

Additional Notes: Charger retaining straps were used on pockets of pre-1917 production and deleted in 1917. However, they were re-introduced on the M1923 belts and again were deleted by the end of WW2. The strap was utilized to prevent the loss of the front charger when the rear one was being removed for use.
