WW2 German Army Officer Dagger – EF Horster . D2052

WW2 German Army Officer Dagger. Marker marked on blade with the E.F. Horster Solingen logo. Overall average condition with nice early Type A Slant grip with a good orange color, however, with a later shouldered tang (Note: shouldered tangs were introduced in 1936-1937) that you sometimes see on with slant grips (however, most of the time you see early slant grips with tapered tangs which were utilized 1936 and prior). The blade has some wear issues especially around the tip area of the blade. Horster 2nd type cross guard (1937-1942) which is also nicely marked with the Horster logo under leather washer on inside of cross guard. Good scabbard. Overall a nice early dagger most likely from 1937-1938 date range.
