U.S. M1860 Cavalry Saber Emerson & Silver 1864 . CWS134

U.S. M1860 Cavalry Saber dated 1864. Marker marked on one side of the blade ricasso Emerson & Silver Trenton NJ and Inspector marked and dated on the other side US DFM 1864. DFM is the Inspector’s mark for Dexter F. Mosman who worked for Emerson & Silver from 1862-1864. The 35 inch single edge blade is in better shape than you typically see on the M1860 swords. Average condition iron scabbard with two suspending bands and rings and has indentation on one side of scabbard, however, does not affect blade going into scabbard. Blade fits nicely into scabbard. Average condition wire wrapped leather grip with much wear and use. Also, inspector marked DFM on top of pommel area.
