U.S. State of Ohio Veterans Ohio Volunteer Civil War medal. Named to a soldier with 25th Ind. Bat. Art. Tiffany marker marked medal and the medal is gold plated. The medal came in half of a cardboard case. Initial research indicates Wilbur A. Reeves enlisted Aug 1861 as a private. Mustered into “D” Co Sept 1861 (OH 2nd Cavalry) he was transferred out on Feb 1863. On Feb 1863 he transferred to OH 25th Light artillery and was discharged for promotion on July 1865. He was commissioned into “I” Co and resigned on Sept 14, 1865. Promotions: Corpl March 1863, Sergt Jan 1865, 2nd Lieut July 1865 (Co. I 113th USCT Infantry).
