Additional Notes: Front of note has portrait of Albrecht Daniel Thaer (1752-1828) who was a renowned German agronomist and an avid supporter of the humus theory for plant nutrition. On the back of the note is an allegorical portrait of a woman holding a sickle, flanked by cherubs with one holding a fish and the other a cornucopia.
